
Tamil Nadu Police arrests ex-AIADMK minister Rajendra Balaji for misappropriating funds worth Rs 3 crore

Rajendra Balaji was arrested for misappropriating Rs 3 crore worth of funds from Tamil Nadu’s milk cooperative, Aavin, when he was dairy minister during AIADMK’s rule in 2016.
The Tamil Nadu Police’s special team arrested former AIADMK Minister Rajendra Balaji for misappropriating Rs 3 crore worth of funds from Aavin during his tenure as state dairy minister. Aavin is a statutory corporation under the Ministry of Fisheries, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Government of Tamil Nadu.
A lookout notice was issued by the Tamil Nadu Police against the absconding former minister on December 23. Two weeks after the notice was issued, a special team of the Tamil Nadu Police arrested Rajendra Balaji at Hassan in Karnataka on Wednesday, January 5.
