T20 World Cup: Shikhar Dhawan, Yuzvendra Chahal among big names missing from India's 15-man squad

T20 World Cup: India named R Ashwin ahead of Yuzvendra Chahal in the 15-man squad announced on Wednesday. Shikhar Dhawan missed out despite leading India in Sri Lanka in July in the absence of Test regulars.

There were plenty of surprises as the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) announced India's squad for the T20 World Cup, starting October 17 in the Oman and the UAE. The biggest of them all was the addition of MS Dhoni to Ravi Shastri-led support staff as mentor of the team. MS Dhoni, who led India to victory in the inaugural edition of the T20 World Cup in 2007, will be taking up a support staff role for the first time at the international level.
