De Kock pulled out of the crucial Super 12 match hours after the players were told by Cricket South Africa that they had to collectively take a knee before every game at the World Cup to support the Black Lives Matter movement.
Quinton de Kock apologized to South Africa fans and his countrymen and said he would love to play for South Africa again if his teammates and the team management wanted him to do so in the T20 World Cup.
