T20 World Cup: Defeat to South Africa will keep England grounded, 'We have plenty to work on', says Mark Wood

T20 World Cup: Fast bowler Mark Wood said that England were not used to their opposition team losing just two wickets throughout the innings, which was the case with South Africa as they fell to their first defeat of the tournament on Saturday.

England's defeat to South Africa keeps them grounded and reminds them that there are a number of areas they need to improve upon, said fast bowler Mark Wood. England, who have been dominant in Group 1 of the Super 12 stage, fell to their first defeat of the tournament on Saturday.

"It's a shame we've lost the game, that brings us down to earth with a bit of a bump. It keeps us grounded and we know we've got some stuff to work on. You never want to lose. We're not used to losing and usually when we do we bounce back well. I think it's just a lesson that we've got plenty to work on," Wood told Sky Sports.
