T20 World Cup: Defeat to Pakistan dented India's self-confidence, says Sunil Gavaskar

T20 World Cup 2021: Speaking to India Today, former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said India have looked demoralised after their first-ever defeat to arch-rivals Pakistan in a World Cup fixture.

Former India captain Sunil Gavaskar said India's self-confidence took a beating after they lost to Pakistan by 10 wickets in their T20 World Cup opener and that it showed in the way Virat Kohli's men approached the crunch game against New Zealand on Sunday.

Speaking to India Today, Sunil Gavaskar said India were taken aback by their first loss to their arch-rivals in a World Cup campaign and that they looked demoralized ever since.
