T20 World Cup 2021: Virat Kohli became the first batter to score more than 500 runs against Pakistan in ICC limited-overs tournaments. The India captain was playing the anchor's role in their Super 12 opener in Dubai on Sunday.

Virat Kohli on Sunday achieved a new milestone as he became the first player to score more than 500 runs against Pakistan in limited-overs International Council (ICC) tournaments. Kohli went past the landmark during India's big-ticket T20 World Cup 2021 opener against Pakistan in Dubai.

Virat Kohli needed 20-odd runs to get to the mark before the much-ancitped Super 12 match between India and Pakistan and the skipper got there while holding the batting unit together after a poor start from the former champions. Kohli was at characteristic best as he played with so much control in the powerplay even as wickets were falling at the other end.
