Former India captain Kapil Dev believes that the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) should intervene and the Indian selectors should take a decision on the big names present in the team and start giving opportunities to youngsters.
Notably, India's T20 World Cup has been derailed by successive defeats against Pakistan and New Zealand and they are on the brink of early elimination. Kapil Dev's comments come before India's must-win game against Afghanistan on Wednesday. Kapil pointed out that if the established players are not able to prove their worth, it’s time that the board must look for options beyond them.
