Former Pakistan captain Shahid Afridi has expressed 'surprise' on Cricket South Africa's (CSA) decision to allow its player to participate in IPL amid the ongoing series against Babar Azam's men. His comment came after Pakistan won the ODI series 2-1 against the hosts.

Former Pakistan cricketer Shahid Afridi is “surprised” and “sad” to see Cricket South Africa (CSA) allow its players to travel to India for the IPL 2021. He has called for some rethinking after raising his concerns about T20 leagues influencing international cricket. Notably, South Africa stars Kagiso Rabada, Quinton de Kock, Anrich Nortje, David Miller and Lungi Ngidi left to play in the IPL after South Africa's 17-run win over Babar Azam's men in the 2nd ODI. A 4-match T20I series is also set to begin between the two nations from April 10.
