The Tamil Nadu government recently reduced tax on petrol, leading to a price cut by Rs 3 and in turn, will increase the Centre's revenue by Rs 1,200 crore annually. The state's Finance Minister P Thiaga Rajan (PTR) said that it was quite a surprising factor. "We are a data-driven government. In fact, in the Assembly today, both the Food Minister and Cooperatives Minister have shown instances of malfeasance in the Jewel loan and crop loan waiver. I've been saying that though our motto is 'Inclusive Growth', I've made a distinction as 'Inclusive Growth based on fairness'. In the last ten years, whoever can grab whatever can take it and go, due to lack of data, lack of administration and lack of application," said PTR.More Related News
