Steelers’ DK Metcalf appears to strike Lions fan in stands during wild altercation
NY Post
Steelers wideout DK Metcalf appeared to strike a Lions fan late in the second quarter of Sunday’s game in Detroit.
With just over two minutes remaining in the first half and the Lions facing a third-and-1, the broadcast cut to a clip of Metcalf standing up against the stands — with a Detroit fan leaving over the barrier at Ford Field.
After a few seconds, Metcalf lifted his hand and appeared to make contact with the fan’s blue wig.
Tracy Wolfson, the sideline reporter on the CBS broadcast, reported that the fan was holding a No. 4 Metcalf jersey and said something he didn’t like — while adding that no other Steelers players came over by the stands during the incident.
