NDA government led by PM Modi boasts 11 years of stable governance, growth, and welfare, according to Union Minister Murugan.
Unlike the Congress government that lacked courage to take bold decisions, the NDA led by Prime Minister Narendra Modi was entering its 12th consecutive year with a track record of stable governance, growth and welfare, Union Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting and Parliamentary Affairs L. Murugan said.
Speaking to reporters on Tuesday, June 10, after releasing a book highlighting the achievements of the 11-year NDA government at the BJP office in Puducherry, Mr. Murugan said it was clearly evident that the nation has developed due to the decisive policy measures of the Modi government.
In contrast to the Congress governments prior to 2014 that were notorious for policy paralysis and corruption, the Prime Minister had charted the course for a Viksit Bharat by 2047 coinciding with the centenary of India’s Independence, he said.
According to the Minister, the AINRC-BJP coalition in Puducherry has also successfully implemented various Centrally-Sponsored Schemes. The distribution of free ration rice, which was suspended during the previous government, has been resumed, a 750-acre site in Sedarapet earmarked for setting up industries and at least 4,000 persons given jobs in the last four years, he said.
Chief Minister N. Rangasamy has apprised the Prime Minister about the projects needed for the development of the Union Territory of Puducherry and the Centre is providing necessary funds to realise the vision of making Puducherry a BEST (Business, Education, Spiritual and Tourism) hub, Mr. Murugan said.
Mr. Murugan expressed confidence that the NDA would win in a landslide in the 2026 Assembly elections in Tamil Nadu and Puducherry. In Tamil Nadu, the DMK and its allies were in a state of panic ever since the AIADMK-BJP alliance was formed, he claimed. The upcoming Thiruparankundram conference for Murugan devotees will be a pivotal event in Tamil Nadu politics, he added.
Ministers A. Namassivayam, A.K. Sai J. Saravanan Kumar, BJP State president S. Selvaganabathy, and legislators K. Venkatesan, V.P. Ramalingam and R.B. Ashok Babu participated in the book launch.
