Sri Lanka players sign national contracts till end of 2021, Angelo Mathews misses out

Sri Lanka Cricket have named their 18-man list for the National Player Contracts which came into effect from August 1.

All-rounder Angelo Mathews, along with three suspended players -- Danushka Gunathilaka, Niroshan Dickwella and Kusal Mendis -- have not been named in Sri Lanka Cricket's (SLC) list of 18 players offered national contracts on Friday. The contracts will be for a duration of five months, lasting till 31 December 2021. On the contracts, a statement by the board read: "The players signed the contracts without any deviation from the contracts offered previously, which was formulated by Sri Lanka Cricket along with the Technical Advisory Committee.
