Sri Lanka all-rounder Thisara Perera announces retirement from international cricket

Thisara Perera, who won the T20 World Cup with Sri Lanka in 2014, announced his retirement on Monday in a bid to make way for youngsters in the senior national team. Perera last played for Sri Lanka in March 2021.

Perera has hit 2,338 runs and picked up 135 wickets in ODI cricket while he managed 51 wickets and 1204 runs in T20I cricket. Thisara Perea was also part of Sri Lanka's 2014 T20 World Cup-winning team. Perera hit a 14-ball 23 and remained unbeaten as Sri Lanka defeated India in the final of the T20 spectacle in Dhaka.More Related News
