QNADohaHis Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Spain Pedro Sanchez Perez on Wednesday.During the phone call, HH the Amir expressed Qatar’s solidarity with Spain over the eruption of volcano lava which spilled to the Spanish island of La Palma. HH the Amir expressed Qatar’s support to Spain. The phone call also touched on cooperation ties between the two countries and prospects for promoting them, in addition to the latest regional and international developments, mainly in Afghanistan. In this context, the Spanish PM expressed thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for the role of Qatar and its effective contribution to the evacuation of Spanish nationals, and its efforts in supporting the peace process in Afghanistan.
