South Africa vs India: Virat Kohli showcased plenty of patience as he hit 79 from 201 balls as India posted 223 after opting to bat on Day 1 of the Cape Town Test series decieder.
Former India batter Aakash Chopra heaped rich praise on Virat Kohli, saying the skipper walked the talk by showcasing the patient side of his batting on a tricky Newlands pitch on Day 1 of the 3rd Test against South Africa. Kohli hit his 2nd slowest Test fifty before getting to 79, helping India post 223 on the board in their first innings in the series finale.
Questions were asked of Virat Kohli's temperament after he chased wide deliveries and got out cheaply in both innings of the first Test. He missed the 2nd Test, which India lost in Johannesburg, due to a back spasm and there was pressure on the India captain who was returned to lead India in the series decider.
