Virat Kohli began the New Year with another milestone as he went past former skipper and head coach Rahul Dravid on an elite list of batters. The India captain showed incredible discipline as he took his time and kept the South Africa pacer at bay on Day 1 of the 3rd Test against South Africa at the Wanderers in Cape Town.
Virat Kohli overtook Rahul Dravid's tally of 624 runs to move to the 2nd spot on the list of Indian visiting batters with the most runs in South Africa in Test cricket. Kohli needed 13 runs to get past his head coach's tally but he missed the 2nd Test in Johannesburg with a back spasm.
