South Africa vs India: Shardul Thakur promises his best yet to come after historic 7-wicket haul

South Africa vs India: Shardul Thakur said that he just tried to hit the right spots consistently on Day 2 in which he became the first Indian fast bowler to take seven wickets in a Test match innings in South Africa.

Shardul Thakur may have sent records tumbling on Day 2 of the Johannesburg Test but he feels that his best is "always yet to come". Thakur on Tuesday ran through the Proteas batting order to finish with figures of 7/61, which is the best by any Indian bowler against South Africa in Test cricket.

"It is my best figures but the best is always yet to come I would say," Thakur told reporters with a smile on Tuesday after the end of the day's play.
