Sanjay Bangar feels Hanuma Vihari would be a better choice than Shreyas Iyer in overseas Tests because of his experience and track record for Team India in red-ball cricket.

Former India batting coach Sanjay Bangar wants Hanuma Vihari to play ahead of Shreyas Iyer in the South Africa Test series because of the "hard yards" he has put in. Vihari was left out of the two-Test series against New Zealand at home has been included in the squad for the tour of South Africa.

Iyer meanwhile, was in outstanding form in his debut Test series against the Black Caps. He was the second highest run-scorer behind Mayank Agarwal with 202 runs including a hundred and fifty in his maiden Test.
