South Africa vs India: Ashish Nehra backed struggling Ajinkya Rahane and Cheteshwar Pujara to come good before stating that their numbers are somewhat similar to that of Virat Kohli in the ongoing Test series against South Africa.
Despite a triumphant outing in the Centurion, India's middle-order woes have been a matter of great concern in the ongoing series. While others haven't been great either, the likes of Cheteshwar Pujara and Ajinkya Rahane undeniably stick out like a sore thumb.
The experienced duo, averaging under 30 since 2019, was once again at the receiving end following their dismal outing on Day 1 of the 2nd Test against South Africa. While Pujara was undone by Duanne Olivier for a mere 3 runs, Rahane followed his teammate back into the hut on the very next delivery with a golden duck to his name.
