Sourav Ganguly is the leader who made me what I am, will cherish my stint under MS Dhoni: Harbhajan Singh

Speaking after announcing his retirement from all forms of cricket on Friday, Harbhajan Singh heaped praise on former captain Sourav Ganguly, saying his support was crucial during the nascent stages of his international career.

Former India off-spinner Harbhajan Singh paid rich tribute to Sourav Ganguly saying it was the former India captain who handheld him and helped him evolve into the off-spinner he went on to become. Harbhajan announced his retirement on Friday, bringing down the curtains on a 23-year-long international cricket.

Speaking after announcing his retirement on Friday, Harbhajan said Ganguly's support was crucial to him in the nascent stage of his career. He also credited MS Dhoni for backing him and making use of his services well during the latter stages of his international career.
