The jail management is on full alert, given the nature of the accused's crime. The only time he leaves the barracks is when he is taken for a shower in the presence of a jail warden.
At the central jail in Madhya Pradesh’s Sagar, a special barrack, away from the other inmates, is now the home of Shivprasad Dhurve - the serial killer who murdered four security guards across in Sagar and Bhopal last month. The jail management is on full alert, given the nature of his crime.
The only time Dhurve leaves this barrack is when he is taken for a shower in the presence of a jail warden.
“Dhurve was brought to the jail on September 6. Due to the nature of his crime, Dhurve has been kept in a separate cell away from the other prisoners. The inmates cannot even come close to Shivprasad's barrack,” jail superintendent Rakesh Bhangre told India Today TV.
“Looking at his instincts to commit a crime, the serial killer has not been kept with the other inmates. He is confined to an isolation cell. Six cases, including four of serial killing, have been registered against him,” Bhangre told PTI.

Other inmates are scared of him now that they know what he has been accused of, Bhangre said.
Dhurve is served food and snacks at his barracks. But since he is believed to be capable of using any available material as a weapon, he is not allowed to keep any utensils with him. His plates are taken back as soon as he finishes eating, the superintendent told PTI.
