Commissioner of Police, Tirunelveli City, Santosh Hadimani inaugurated distribution of buttermilk and solar hats to traffic police here on Thursday.
Later, at a function, he administered anti-drug promise to students of Manonmaniam Sundaranar University. The Commissioner of Police also administered road safety pledge to the students who enacted street plays on drug abuse and accidents caused by traffic rule violations. A signature campaign against drug-abuse was also organised on the occasion.
Deputy Commissioners of Police V. Geetha, V. Vinodh Santharam and S. Vijayakumar were present.
