'Sick Joke': Name Of New ICE Operation Slammed As 'So Disgusting'

ICE is moving into Maine.
The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agency has drawn backlash for the name of its newly-launched immigration crackdown in the state of Maine.
The name of the surge — “Operation Catch Of The Day” — was slammed on social media as “a sick joke” and “so disgusting.”
It’s “demagogic branding meant to excite and distract the simpletons,” said one critic.
The name “is deliberately disrespectful to human beings,” added another.
ICE announced the launch of the operation in Maine on Wednesday, claiming it would target 1,400 of “the worst of the worst criminal illegal aliens who have terrorized communities.” Nearly 50 people have been arrested in the operation so far, according to local reports.
