QNADohaThe joint committee formed by Legal and Legislative Affairs, and Financial and Economic Affairs Committees of the Shura Council held a meeting on Thursday, headed by Chairman of the Committee HE Abdul Rahman bin Yousuf Al Khulaifi.During the meeting, the committee discussed the draft of social security law in the presence of Turki bin Mohamed Al- Khater, President of the General Retirement and Social Insurance Authority, who answered the committee’s inquiries and observations about the articles of the aforementioned draft law, and provided an explanation of some of the draft law’s articles, so that the committee could make an appropriate decision about it.The joint committee will continue to host representatives from the state’s competent authorities during its meetings in order to respond to the inquiries and observations it made on the two draft social insurance and military retirement laws, and to clarify all of their aspects in order to complete them as soon as possible.
