Police have lifted a shelter-in-place order for parts of St. John's.
Residents living in the area of James Place; James Lane, from Mercers Drive to O’Reilly Street; Anspach Street to Glenview Terrace; and Blackmarsh Road, from Mary Browns to the fire station, were asked to stay inside on Tuesday evening.
Const. Stephanie Myers, a spokesperson for the Royal Newfoundland Constabulary, told CBC News that the house linked to the incident was located on James Place.
Police will remain onsite to continue their investigation. Myers said the RNC will provide more details on the incident on Wednesday.
