
Seth Meyers Scorches A Specific Obama Critique Of Donald Trump: ‘OK, But You Should Have’

The "Late Night" comedian suggested Democrats actually take a page out of the president-elect's playbook next time.
Seth Meyers on Thursday called out Barack Obama over a particular line of attack the former president deployed against Donald Trump during recent campaign rally appearances for defeated Democratic candidate Kamala Harris.
Obama urged voters not to be “bamboozled” into voting for the now-president elect because Trump sent out stimulus checks featuring his signature during the coronavirus pandemic.
“Let me make sure you all understand this,” Obama said at one rally in October. “Joe Biden sent you a check during the pandemic just like I gave people relief during the Great Recession. The thing is, we didn’t put our name on it because it wasn’t about feeding our egos, it wasn’t about advancing our politics, it was about helping people. That’s the difference.”
Meyers aired footage of Obama’s comments.
Then the “Late Night” host commented:
