Seth Meyers Fulfills His New Year's Resolution With A Brutal Trump Supercut

The "Late Night" host made an example out of the president's insistence that he was against foreign wars and regime changes.
Seth Meyers on Monday said the real reason behind the Trump administration’s attack on Venezuela – and the seizure of President Nicolás Maduro and his wife, Cilia Flores, by force in the middle of the night – remains a mystery.
“Damn it, I just wish there were clues!” joked Meyers after highlighting how U.S. President Donald Trump and members of his Cabinet have repeatedly talked about the South American country’s oil reserves.
Meyers said it was amazing how Trump “just undercuts everyone around him and confesses the truth” by throwing his MAGA allies under the bus due to his fixation on Venezuelan oil. The “Late Night” host then referred to his history of using “A Closer Look” segments to “set up a long video montage of Trump contradicting himself by insisting, during his various campaigns, that he was against foreign wars and regime changes.”
“But I made a New Year’s resolution — and that resolution was to never change, baby! Roll the hypocrisy package!” Meyers declared.
Meyers also blasted those who believed Trump was telling the truth about being “anti-war.”
