Sergio Aguero close to agreeing a deal with Barcelona, going to play alongside Lionel Messi: Pep Guardiola

Sergio Aguero will be leaving Manchester City as a free agent after the Champions League final and Pep Guardiola revealed that the Argentina striker is headed to Barcelona.

Manchester City boss revealed a much-anticipated piece of transfer news when he said on Sunday that outgoing striker Sergio Aguero is close to signing a deal with Barcelona. Aguero has been linked heavily with the Catalan giants who are hoping to revamp their side. Sergio Aguero was the center of attention as Manchester City celebrated their Premier League triumph with a 5-0 hammering of Everton. Aguero received a guard of honour from his teammates following which he scored twice in City's final league game, which was also the celebrated striker's last Premier League outing. Aguero broke Wayne Rooney's Premier League record in his final outing, taking his goal-scoring tally for City to 184 league goals as he brought an end to his 10-year stint with the Premier League champions.
