Sen. John Fetterman (D-Pa.) offered some advice to President Joe Biden on Tuesday, but his suggestions seemed more like something out of Donald Trump’s playbook.
Biden is currently trying to ease the fears of some Democrats about his fitness for a second term, following a disastrous debate performance against his GOP rival late last month.
Fetterman has consistently supported keeping Biden as the Democratic Party’s presumptive nominee, reminding voters that Biden beat Trump in the 2020 election.
But journalist Andrew Desiderio probably didn’t expect what Fetterman would say when he asked the Pennsylvania senator if he “plans on speaking up for Biden” while meeting with fellow Democrats.
That’s because his response sounded very ... Trumpian.
