CNN’s conservative commentator Scott Jennings ripped House Democrats on the Oversight Committee and ranking member Rep. Robert Garcia (D-Calif.) Friday night for its attempts to link President Donald Trump to the late child sex trafficker Jeffrey Epstein.
“Robert Garcia and the Democrats on oversight don’t care about justice,” Jennings said on “The Source With Kaitlan Collins.”
“They don’t care about victims. They don’t care about anything except one thing. They care about making the American public think that Donald Trump had something to do with this.”
The oversight committee released 19 new photos from Epstein’s estate Friday night, some of which featured Trump and other high-profile figures like Microsoft’s Bill Gates, filmmaker Woody Allen and former Trump adviser Steve Bannon.
When confronted about the photos at a press conference, Trump responded by saying, “There are hundreds and hundreds of people that have photos with him. So, that’s no big deal. I know nothing about it.”
The 19 new photos are just a minor fraction of the 95,000 images that the House Oversight Committee said it has recently received.
The National Trust for Historic Preservation argues Trump exceeded his constitutional authority by not seeking congressional approval for a project of this scale.
