The Samsung Galaxy M53 will launch in India on April 22. The announcement comes just a few weeks after the company launched the Galaxy M33 device under Rs 20,000.

Samsung recently took the wraps off its new Galaxy M53 in the global market and it is now getting ready to launch it in India. The announcement comes just a few weeks after the company launched the Galaxy M33 device under Rs 20,000. Last month, the brand unveiled several Galaxy A series phones and it seems that Samsung is focusing on the Galaxy M series in April. Here’s how much the upcoming Galaxy M53 may cost in India.

Samsung is expected to position the Galaxy M53 between the Galaxy A53 5G and Galaxy A73. It could be priced between Rs 35,000 and Rs 40,000 segment. The upcoming phone has slightly superior specs than the A53, so it could be priced higher than this Galaxy A series, which is selling for Rs 34,499. The Samsung Galaxy A73 5G is on sale with a starting price of Rs 41,999. For your reference, the Samsung Galaxy M52 was launched in the country for Rs 29,999.

Since the Galaxy M53 is already available in the global market, the specifications of the upcoming Samsung phone are known. The device is equipped with a 6.7-inch screen that operates at Full HD+ resolution. It has a Super AMOLED Plus panel that has support for a 120Hz refresh rate. The company hasn’t revealed whether the phone’s screen is protected by a layer of Corning Gorilla Glass.

The handset ships with a typical punch-hole display design. Samsung isn’t offering an in-display fingerprint sensor with this smartphone and it opted for a side-mounted fingerprint scanner. While the name of the chipset is currently unknown, multiple reports claim that the Samsung Galaxy M53 is drawing power from a MediaTek Dimensity 900 chip.

Under the hood, Samsung has added a 5,000mAh battery. The brand has also provided support for 25W fast charging. Though, it doesn’t ship a fast charger along with the phone. For photography, there is a 108-megapixel quad rear camera setup, but it doesn’t have support for Optical Image Stabilization (OIS). The rest of the sensors are an 8-megapixel ultra-wide camera and 2-megapixel sensors for macro and depth sensing. For selfies, one will find a 32-megapixel selfie camera on the front.
