Sachin Tendulkar's message to Shafali Verma ahead of her 1st Test: Beautiful time to express yourself

Ahead of India Women's Test match vs England Women, batting legend Sachin Tendulkar has said that opener Shafali Verma, who would make a debut in the Test format, should look to express herself at this "beautiful time".

Batting great Sachin Tendulkar in his message to Shafali Verma ahead of her Test debut has suggested that the 17-year-old should make use of "this beautiful time" to express herself. Tendulkar, who made his Test debut at the age of 16, also recalled Shafali's fearless and aggressive batting during the Women's T20 World Cup in Australia last year. "For someone like Shefali, who is 17, beautiful time for her to go out and express herself. That is what I told her in Australia. 'When you were batting I watched you play and what I enjoyed was that fearlessness, bat swing, domination and aggression'," Sachin Tendulkar told Sports Today in an exclusive interview.
