Sachin Pilot in Gujarat might resolve Congress’s Rajasthan crisis. But why is the Young Turk wary?

The Congress may deploy Sachin Pilot to handle party's affairs in Gujarat. But will he accept the responsibility?
The Congress high command is reportedly scouting for a point man in Gujarat to strategise, handhold and supervise the party’s electoral campaign for November-December 2022 state assembly polls. The search for a new party general secretary or in-charge has become urgent on account of the demise of Rajiv Satav, who was looking after the party’s Gujarat affairs. Several names are doing the rounds, namely Kamal Nath, BK Hari Prakash, Mukul Wasnik, Avinash Pandey, Mohan Prakash, but 10 Janpath’s most preferred choice is reported to be Sachin Pilot, former Rajasthan Congress chief who had raised a banner of revolt against Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot in July 2020. Sachin Pliot’s youthfulness, acumen, oratory skills, energy and ability to blend complex caste matrix scores over other contenders. A closer look would reveal another game plan. If Pilot is given a role outside Rajasthan, the ongoing political crisis would get resolved on its own.More Related News
