
Ron DeSantis shakes up liberal university, appoints six members to the New College of Florida

Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis on Friday shook up leadership at the New College of Florida by appointing six new members to the academic institution's Board of Trustees.
The New College of Florida in Sarasota, is a top-ranked public liberal arts college and is the designated honors college of the state university system. Joshua Q. Nelson is a reporter for Fox News Digital.
Joshua focuses on politics, education policy ranging from the local to the federal level, and the parental uprising in education.
DeSantis' news press secretary Bryan Griffin sent a statement to Fox News Digital claiming that the academic institution has been "captured by a political ideology that puts trendy, truth-relative concepts above learning." Joining Fox News Digital in 2019, he previously graduated from Syracuse University with a degree in Political Science and is an alum of the National Journalism Center and the Heritage Foundation's Young Leaders Program.
