Police said Deepak Sharma, a resident of Noida, had taken shelter in Bahadurgarh and was directly in touch with gangsters linked to the Lawrence Bishnoi network. He was allegedly instructed by associates identified as Hari Boxer and Arju Bishnoi to carry out the firing at Shetty's residence as part of an extortion plan.
The number of arrests in the firing incident outside filmmaker Rohit Shetty’s residence has reached 11, with four fresh arrests made across multiple states as the investigation widens. The operation also led to the arrest of the main shooter, Deepak Sharma, who was captured from Bahadurgarh by Haryana STF and the Mumbai Crime Branch. Police said that Deepak was paid 50 thousand for firing and was promised more afterwards.
Seven accused were arrested earlier from Pune and Uttar Pradesh, while four more were arrested in a joint operation near the Haryana–Rajasthan border.
Two of the arrested suspects had their role in the conspiracy while another accused, Praveen Lonkar, was taken into custody from judicial custody in connection with the Baba Siddique murder case.

Investigators said Deepak opened fire, while co-accused Sunny and Sonu conducted recce of the target. Ritik Yadav allegedly helped the shooter hide after the incident. The four accused were later handed over to Mumbai Police for further investigation and transit to Mumbai.
The joint operation was carried out by the STF unit in Bahadurgarh along with the Mumbai Crime Branch. under FIR registered under relevant sections at DCB CID Mumbai. Mumbai police is taking the arrested accused to Mumbai.
