Rohit Sharma, Shikhar Dhawan best opening options for India at T20 World Cup: Former selector Sarandeep Singh

Sarandeep Singh feels Shikhar Dhawan must be brought back in the team and should open with Rohit Sharma in the T20 World Cup in India later this year.

Former BCCI selector Sarandeep Singh has put his weight behind Rohit Sharma and Shikhar Dhawan as openers for Team India at the T20 World Cup later this year. Dhawan was dropped from the playing XI after the first T20I against England in which he scored 4 runs while opening with KL Rahul. India then tried 3 different opening combinations in the next four games. Rahul opened with debutant Ishan Kishan in the 2nd T20I but failed to trouble the scorers. He opened with Rohit Sharma in the next two games but failed again and was dropped from the playing XI for the final match in which captain Virat Kohli promoted himself to open with Rohit.
