Robin Lehner: NHL lied to us, ‘forced us to take vaccine’
NY Post
Golden Knights goalie Robin Lehner ripped the NHL on Wednesday, claiming that after players were coerced into taking the COVID-19 vaccine with promises of loosening restrictions, the league is now not following through on them.
“We are vaccinated and we are still trapped in a prison,” Lehner told reporters. In a 10-minute rant, the one-time Islander chastised the NHL for “forcing” players to receive the coronavirus vaccine and making it seem more appealing with assurances that they wouldn’t be subjected to the strict quarantine protocols. He said the league is choosing “competitive edge” over how players are treated and feels misled by the league.
‘Freak of nature: Zion Williamson’s resurgence could pose a Knicks problem versus motivated Pelicans
Zion Williamson is slimmer and healthier for his trip to MSG.

Almost a year to the day after a goaltender interference call against Kyle Palmieri lost the Islanders a game against the Blue Jackets that started their season’s death spiral, they were on the wrong end of another controversial call against those same Blue Jackets that might have had the same effect.

SAN DIEGO — As you may have seen elsewhere in this newspaper (and also if you haven’t deleted me yet from your social media), I have a book coming out Tuesday called “The Bosses of The Bronx.” Much of it details the 37 years’ worth of antics, winning, losing, winning again and overall mania of George Steinbrenner’s time with the Yankees.
