
Road conditions keep school buses off the roads in several Chatham-Kent communities

School buses in several Chatham-Kent communities have been cancelled for Thursday morning.
The transportation service provider says it's due to road conditions deteriorating following overnight wintery weather.
The following communities and schools in Zone 7 are impacted.
Tilbury, Blenheim, Merlin, Pain Court, Wheatley, Grand Pointe, Shrewsbury, Lighthouse Cove, Charring Cross, and Erieau.

Buses in all other zones in Chatham-Kent and Sarnia-Lambton are on the road as usual. Same goes for Windsor-Essex.

Sarnia City Council will hold a special meeting Tuesday morning to respond to social media comments made by Coun. Bill Dennis, who criticized city spending on a new mural by Indigenous artist Kennady Osborne as “virtue signalling by woke politicians” — then made a series of comments in response to a reply from Aamjiwnaang Chief Janelle Nahmabin that some have characterized as unprofessional and aggressive.
