Puducherry recorded a voter turnout of 81.69%, the highest in the southern region where elections were held on Tuesday. This is according to the revised data released by the Election Commission of India on Wednesday. Puducherry recorded the third highest turnout after Assam (85.20% - phase III) and West Bengal (84.61% - phase III). Of an estimated 10.04 lakh registered voters, 8,20,323 exercised their franchise as polling closed at 7 p.m. at the 1,558 polling stations on Tuesday.More Related News
