The 2023 Toyota Prius Prime plug-in hybrid is available with solar panels on the roof that can recharge its batteries with enough energy to drive several miles a day.
It does have one of those on sale now called the bZ4X, however, and is ramping up its efforts in the zero-emissions space as it keeps rolling out the hybrid hits. Gary Gastelu is Fox News Digital's automotive editor.
There are a total of 20 of them on sale in the U.S. across the Toyota and Lexus brands today, including the latest version of the granddaddy of them all — the Prius.
