Maharashtra Home Minister Anil Deshmukh himself said on Sunday that the state government has decided to conduct a probe into the corruption allegations against him by a retired high court judge. “In the cabinet meeting, I had requested the chief minister to conduct an inquiry into the corruption allegations that were levelled against me by the former Mumbai police commissioner (Param Bir Singh). And the chief minister and state government has decided to conduct the probe through a retired high court judge. And now all the allegations will be probed and whatever the truth is, will come out,” Deshmukh said. Anil Deshmukh was asked to comment on the sharp attack on him made in the Shiv Sena’s party mouthpiece Saamana, which has said that Anil Deshmukh got the high-profile post only because senior NCP leaders Jayant Patil and Dileep Wales Patil had refused to accept it.More Related News
