Realme 9 specifications leak ahead of 9 Pro series launch reveal another 5G phone
India Today
Realme is gearing up to launch the 9 Pro and 9 Pro Plus smartphones in India, but ahead of that, the specifications of an unannounced 9 5G have cropped up.
Realme 9 Pro series is coming to India on February 16, and while that will involve the launch of two phones, a third phone may already be in the pipeline. The new number series cannot be complete without the vanilla model, the Realme 9. While Realme has not said anything yet about Realme 9, a leak showed its specifications ahead of the launch. According to a new leak, the Realme 9 will be a 5G phone.
The fresh information around the Realme 9 5G comes from the tipster Yogesh Brar. In one of his recent tweets, Brar revealed what specifications you can expect on the Realme 9 5G. But he has not shared what the Realme 9 5G looks like, when the phone might arrive in India, or what price it is likely to bear. Unless that happens or unless Realme comes forward to confirm the vanilla 9-series model officially, all we have are its specifications.
Brar said the Realme 9 5G will come with a MediaTek Dimensity 810 5G chipset, which surely is an upgrade over the Dimensity 700 that powered the Realme 8 5G. This processor will likely be paired with a maximum of 8GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage. You can expect a configuration of 6GB of RAM and 64GB of storage and a model with 8GB of RAM and 128GB of storage. The Realme 9 5G may come with Android 12-based Realme UI 3.0. On its front may be a 6.5-inch Full-HD+ display with a 90Hz refresh rate.
Realme 9 5G’s cameras may include a 48-megapixel main sensor, a 2-megapixel depth sensor, and a 2-megapixel macro sensor on the back, while for selfies, there may be a 16-megapixel camera. I believe the phone will come with a punch-hole setup, so this camera will reside inside that. The Realme 9 5G may feature stereo speakers and a side-mounted fingerprint sensor, which means the phone uses an LCD panel. The Realme 9 5G may use a 5000mAh battery and it would support 18W fast charging technology, the tipster said.
In related news, the Realme 9 Pro and Realme 9 Pro Plus are set for launch in India on February 16. Realme has already revealed that the 9 Pro Plus uses a Sony IMX766 flagship sensor in the main camera, a MediaTek Dimensity 920 processor, and a colour-shifting design on the back panel.
