The match witnessed Monga-born Brar take the wickets of Virat Kohli (35), Glenn Maxwell (0) and AB de Villiers (3) and KL Rahul smash 91 not out off 57. Brar (25* off 17) and Rahul also partnered for 61 unbeaten runs off 32 balls to help their team post a competitive 180-run target against a formidable Bangalore batting line-up. After PBKS posted 179 for the loss of 5 wickets, RCB innings started with an exciting over from pacer Riley Meredith. He managed to beat Devdutt Padikkal and then Virat Kohli. The next over saw an intense battle between two Indian superstars -- Virat Kohli and Mohammed Shami. After being hit for an aggressive boundary on the first ball, Mohammed Shami came back strongly with a short ball which hit Kohli on his elbow.
