Ranji Trophy: Delhi, Karnataka and Mumbai drawn in Group of Death, Bengal get easy draw

Ranji Trophy will return to the Indian domestic calendar in January next year for the first time since the resumption of the sport amid Covid-19 pandemic. Six cities are set to host the group stages of the premier domestic tournament.

The Board of Control for Cricket in India announced the draws for Ranji Trophy as the premier domestic tournament is all set to get underway from January in 2022. Heavyweights Karnataka, Mumbai and Delhi have been drawn in what is considered to be Group of Death. Along with the multiple time Ranji champions are Hyderabad, Maharashtra and Uttarakhand in the Elite group C.
