Rangers fans raucously celebrate inside — and outside — the Garden after Game 6 thriller
NY Post
The Rangers’ thrilling Game 6 series-clinching win over the Hurricanes in Game 6 came on the road, but that didn’t mean Madison Square Garden was silent Thursday night.
The Garden had a full house in attendance watching the Rangers’ 5-3 win, and the fans even threw hats on the empty ice after Chris Kreider’s natural hat trick propelled them to the Eastern Conference Final.
The jubilant Rangers fans took the party outside MSG after the big win as fans were yelling, “We want Boston!” interspersed with “Let’s Go Rangers” chants.
Those Rangers fans may not get their wish.
Florida holds a 3-2 series lead with Game 6 on Friday night in Boston, with the winner set to face the Blueshirts.
It may not matter to Rangers fans, many of whom made the trek to Raleigh for Game 6, catching the game live from PNC Arena.

Suddenly, someone had hit a rewind button and everyone had been transported back seven months. It was early spring instead of late fall, it was broiling hot outside the arena walls and not freezing cold. Everyone was back at TD Garden. There were 19,156 frenzied fans on their feet begging for blood, poised for the kill.
