Congress leader Rahul Gandhi's visit could affect law and order situation in Sitapur area in Uttar Pradesh's Lakhimpur's district, said Uttar Pradesh police on Wednesday.

Congress leader Rahul Gandhi said that a three-member Congress delegation will visit the violence-hit Lakhimpur Kheri district on Wednesday as Section 144 has been imposed in the area. He said a three-member delegation including two chief ministers will try to visit Lakhimpur Kheri.

Addressing a press conference on Wednesday, Rahul Gandhi said, "Today, with two CMs we will visit Lakhimpur Kheri in Uttar Pradesh to understand the situation there and support the farmers' families."
