QNADohaHis Highness the Amir of State of Qatar Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani on Tuesday held a telephone conversation with Prime Minister of the Republic of India Narendra Modi. During the phone call, they discussed the efforts being made by the two countries to contain the coronavirus (COVID-19) pandemic, and the ways to enhance joint cooperation in this regard. HH the Amir expressed Qatar’s solidarity with the Indian people and supported the efforts India is making in facing a new wave of the virus, expressing condolences on the victims, and wishing the patients a swift recovery.For his part, the Indian PM expressed his thanks and appreciation to HH the Amir for Qatar’s position that reflects the strength of bilateral ties, and the spirit of joint cooperation.The call also focused on reviewing bilateral cooperation between Qatar and India, the ways to develop and enhance them, in addition to regional and international issues of mutual interests.
