Marie Kondo, the inventor of the world-famous KonMari Method for tidying and decluttering homes, says she's prioritizing time with her kids over managing mess.
"My home is messy, but the way I am spending my time is the right way for me at this time at this stage of my life," she said through an interpreter. Cortney Moore is an associate lifestyle writer on the Lifestyle team at Fox News Digital.
Since the release of her first book in 2010, "The Life-Changing Magic of Tidying Up: The Japanese Art of Decluttering and Organizing," which was released in the U.S. in 2014 through California publisher Ten Speed Press, Kondo has become a mother to two girls and one boy.
