Ranji Trophy: The 41-time Ranji champions Mumbai are placed in Elite nine-team Group C and will open their campaign against Maharashtra on January 13. They will then face Delhi from January 20 in Kolkata.
Opening batsman Prithvi Shaw was on Wednesday named captain of Mumbai for the first two matches of the upcoming Ranji Trophy season. Shaw, who has played five Tests and scored 339 runs, including a century which he scored in his debut innings.
Shaw has scored a total of 2414 first class runs with nine centuries in 51 innings.
