Political row breaks out over names of new medical colleges in UP, SP accuses BJP of rebranding its work

Accusing the Yogi Adityanath-led government of naming the new medical colleges on caste lines, the SP also accused the BJP of taking credit for projects started by Akhilesh Yadav.
Ahead of the 2022 UP Assembly election, the Yogi Adityanath-led government is engaged in making provisions for medical colleges in all districts of the state. As many as nine medical colleges are set to be inaugurated by PM Modi in the next month. A political row has, however, broken out in UP over these medical colleges. The Samajwadi Party (SP) has accused the BJP of playing vote bank politics, while saying that the government was taking credit even when most of these medical colleges were built under the Akhilesh Yadav government.More Related News
